British Grand Prix 2024

The Formula 1 circuit changes venues on a semi-regular basis and constantly looks to include new venues and destinations where the appeal of the sport can be introduced to a wider audience - see recent additions in such controversial locations as Bahrain and Dubai for evidence of this trend - but there are some locations where they are so steeped in tradition that the grand prix circuit just wouldn't seem the same without them.

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone falls in this category, a circuit that has hosted a race well over 60 times in total since the F1 first came here in 1926.

I've yet to watch a grand prix, or indeed any race, live here, to date my only experience of Silverstone was making the mistake of trying to drive down the A43 on race weekend, where the traffic was truly epic, and gave some insight in to why holding the event here came into doubt in the first place, so the only practical advice I can give if you're planning to attend is to allow plenty of time for your journey!

Dates & Race Schedule

The British Grand Prix will be held on the 7th July 2024.

The practice and qualifying sessions will take place as usual on the Friday and Saturday preceding the main race.
