AIDS Walk New York 2023

Taking the crown of the largest walkathon in the the world, Aids Walk New York first started in 1986 and attracts over 30,000 people to this 10km walk.

The money raised for this charity event goes to Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) and over 40 other local AIDS service organisations in the tri-state area.

The walk attracts many a celebrity and in the past walkers have included stars like: Ty Burrell, Alan Cumming, Alec Baldwin, Jon Stewart, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Matt Bomer, Matthew Broderick, Nora Jones, Nick Jonas, Whoopi Goldberg, Julie Bowen, Harvey Fierstein, Hilary Duff, Cyndi Lauper, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbons to name but a few!

Event Details/h3>
TThis is an amazing event to get involved in and normally, even if you are not walking, you can head down to Central park to cheer everyone on and show your support. The route will take you through the streets of the Upper West Side and Riverside Drive, and there will be refreshments and checkpoints throughout the route.

Walkers will meet at the Naumber Bandshell in Central Park.

8:30am - Sign-In br>9am - Aerobic Warm-up
9:15am - Opening Ceremony
10am - AIDS Walk New York Begins
12pm - Post-Walk Concert
2:30pm - Announcement of Results

TThere is likely to be coverage of the walk on the local New York news networks, we will post any links we find here on the day of the event. CBS New York is their media sponsor, so we'd hope to see some coverage there.
