The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a sight to behold. This incredibly popular event draws huge crowds to this New Mexico town in the desert every year to watch, what is officially, the largest hot air balloon festival anywhere in the world.

Taking place over a 9 day period in early October, a time of year where the chances of clear skies are optimised, the fiesta sees in excess of 500 hot air balloons take to the skies to provide a spectacular scene like no other and don't miss out on the nightly fireworks at the weekends.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is scheduled to return from 7 - 15th 2023.

Event Schedule

The balloon fiesta this year has all the usual popular features, including of course the famous Dawn Patrol Show and Mass Ascension, as well as Special Shape Rodeo, Flight of the Nations, Twinkle Twinkle Glow, Drone Light Show, Fiesta of Wheels Car Show, Chainsaw Carving Exhibition, Team Fastrax Skydiving, Balloon Glow and Night Magic Glow, it's going to be spectacular as always!

There are also the usual After Glow fireworks shows after each Glow event, around 8pm to add to the visual spectacle.
