The Chelsea Flower Show is by far one of the world's greatest garden shows, held annually in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in London.

Starting in 1912, this event attracts over 150,000 people every year and tickets are always sold out well in advance. With visitors from all over the world coming to see the stunning garden displays and finding out what's new in the gardening world. You tend to find that there are quite a few celebrities and royalty perusing the displays.

The Chelsea Flower Show, to gardeners is what New York Fashion Show is to fashion designers. It's where people come to see the cutting edge in garden designs, landscaping and plan there own gardens, learn what new flowers to try out and also which of the more popular older varieties are making a come back.

This year's Chelsea Flower Show will take place between 22nd and 27th May 2023 .

Event Details

There will be more than 30 gardens in this year's show and many will be focussed on sustainability.

This year will see The Savills Garden cooking for the Chelsea Pensioners in a 'from plot to plate' experience and on Main Avenue, Horatio's Garden will be the first to be specifically designed to be wheel chair accessible, which is fantastic news.

In another nod to sustainability, all of the RHS Chelsea gardens will be required to have a plan for life for after the show, meaning that many will moved in their entirety and relocated whilst othere will be rehomes in parts.
