California Roots, often shortened to just Cali Roots but to give the full official title is actually the California Roots Music and Arts festival (you can see why they shorten it!) is an annual music festival taking place in late May at the Monterey Fairgrounds in California. The festival is predominantly acts from the Reggae, Folk and Rock genres and traces its origins right back to the famous Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, although the current event has only been with us since 2010.

The California Roots festival will take place 25 - 28th May 2023.

The lineup for this year's California Roots festival includes:
