The European Poker Tour (EPT) is one of the most popular poker events in the world, taking place since 2004 and expanding on the increased global popularity started by the World Poker Tour just 2 years earlier. The Grand Final, currently sponsored by online poker giant Poker Stars, takes place in the glamorous Monaco beachfront resort of Monte Carlo and is the culmination and highlight of the event.

The main event of the EPT takes place over a full week, and will be available to watch as a live online stream, with the webcast provided by PokerStars and making the event much more readily accessible to a global audience. The advent of live streaming of these large scale international poker events has played a large part in it's expanding popularity. The prize pool EPT attracts the top poker players from around the world, which is no great surprise with over 1 million Euros being played for!
