The MTV Video Music Awards remain one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the music business, and a much coveted award for artists worldwide. It boasts big name hosts, 2022 saw Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow and LL Cool J, so we look forward to seeing this year's list.

The VMA award ceremony is held in the late summer each year, and is watched worldwide by a huge audience, with most of the top nominated acts typically showing up to accept their award in person, a further nod to the prestige of the awards.

This year's awards are due to take place on 12 September at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

The whole show is of course broadcast live on TV on MTV, which is also available as a live stream on the network's website and mobile app.

There doesn't appear to be a free live stream for the UK or Australia at this stage but we'll post if we locate any.

Hotels and Accommodation

If you're visiting for the awards then there is the usual vast range of accommodation on offer, although with the situation in New York this year you're probably better staying at home - save the trip for next year!
