The Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival is a behemoth of a festival which is spread out over 4 days and covering genres of entertainment encapsulating music, dance, cinema and comedy as well as many other speciality and niche sub-genres that means basically everyone with any musical or artistic leanings whatsoever is certain to find something to capture their attention.

Most commonly known simply as Bonnaroo, this mega-festival has been taking place each year since 2002 at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee, a vast site spread over 650 acres and big enough to include a vast campground that provides sufficient housing for the convoy of RVs that come to town, as well as row upon row of tents that make the site resemble the staging area of an army on the march.

The unique feature that marks Bonnaroo out from other similar festivals is the setup of tents, from the vast ones hosting music stages to the smaller event tents housing everything from discos, bars, clubs, presentations and performers to non-profit organisations and charities. Most people who attend stay for the whole weekend so total attendance figures don't match some of the multi-day festivals that have a new crowd each day, but there will still be over 100,000 visitors to the Great Stage Park across the weekend.

TV & Live Streaming

The Bonnaroo festival has become the latest of the huge US festivals to join the technological revolution, with a range of live coverage in previous years provided by the likes of Livelist, Red Bull TV and most recently Twitter.

Last year saw Hulu take on the official streaming, so hopefully that will return this year, but you will of course need a subscription: Bonaroo Live Stream

Hotels and Accommodation

If you're heading to Manchester, Tennessee for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, then most people stay on site, either bringing their own tent or RV or renting one at the location.
