CMJ Music Marathon 2022

The CMJ Music Marathon is a little different to many of the music festivals in that is isn't restricted to a single date or venue, but rather takes place in a number of locations across 5 days in October.

The venues are all based in Manhattan, New York, making it one of the best locations available, while they're also indoor, given the likely weather conditions in NYC at this time of year. Attendance across the whole festival is estimated ar over 120,000 people each year.

Social & Streaming

The diverse nature of the event make live streaming much more difficult but there is usually live coverage provided from key events both on radio and online via NPR. This year this will include performances at Le Poisson Rouge by Pusha T, Omar Souleyman, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Cults. Find the schedule and live stream online here:

New York is busy all year round, but October can be one of the more reasonable months for accommodation.
