Electric Zoo is the iconic, end of summer, New York Electronic Music Festival that takes place on Randall's Island Park, which now has the added bonus of a free live online stream to bring the event to a global audience.

In terms of location, Ezoo has a spot that is about as good as it gets - Randall's Island Park is close enough to the huge sprawling metropolis of New York City to benefit from the excellent transport links and worldwide accessibility, but in a remote enough spot to be able to accommodate a pretty big crowd. From an initial single day event with a little over 20,000 attendees the Electric Zoo has now expanded to cover 3 full days and will attract almost 100,000 through their gates over the course of the event.

It is also noted as being one of the more environmentally aware festivals on the circuit, introducing innovations such as on-site recycling programs for all the rubbish (or trash to the locals!) generated, using biodiesel fuels and providing only food from organic sources (we have high hopes of this one becoming one of the first festivals to go all-vegan, now that would be awesome...)

The Electric Zoo in 2023 is due to take place on Labor Day Weekend 1 - 3 September.

Hotels and Accommodation

If you're in New York for the Electric Zoo festival there's no camping at this one I'm afraid and the city is always busy so it's best to make your hotel, motel or B&B booking as soon as possible You can search for hotels, check availability and make reservations for local hotels here.
