Eurovision 2023

Live Stream, TV Coverage, Lineup, Semi Finals, Grand Final Dates

Eurovision song contest

Eurovision returns once again this year and this time it's in Liverpool, UK. The finest musicians of Europe and beyond will be gathering for a fabulous night of top quality musical entertainment, made even more accessible by the addition of a free live online stream.

OK, possibly a little tongue in cheek, but Eurovision is as popular as ever with a huge global audience tuning in to watch the magic unfold, evne if many of them are only viewing the event ironically. The addition of semi finals to the lineup draws the entertainment out over an ever longer period these days, with 3 full nights of music, leading up the always popular Saturday night Eurovision Grand final.

For me, it's the geopolitical aspect of the voting that absolutely makes the evening - this may have lost some of it's appeal since the superbly cynical Terry Wogan no longer hosts the BBC's evening show, but it's still decent entertainment to see the old nationalistic ties being represent in the form of votes - top marks for each other from Greece and Cyprus, Scandinavian solidarity, no-one voting for the UK or Germany and the like.

Venue

As I'm sure you know, the location changes each year to the home country of the previous winners. Ukraine were the winners of the 2022 competition however, the event will be taking place in the Liverpool Arena.
