Glasto2

Have you started your countdown yet? Well this is it, the super-festival, the festival of festivals, the one they all want to attend and for the artists the one they all want to appear at. Yes, that's right, it's Glastonbury.

Formally titled the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, but more commonly known just as Glastonbury or even Glasto, the festival has been taking place since 1970 at Worthy Farm, Pilton in rural Somerset and attracts crowds of up to 150,000 over the course of the event.

One of the key features of Glastonbury is the camping, with the majority of the festival goers, celebrities included donning their wellies to spend 5 days under canvas in a series of fields in what can be a pleasant enough experience if the weather is decent, but if it rains can get pretty nasty fairly quickly! All part of the experience though, and this remains a festival everyone should try to get to at least once, preferably while still young enough to be able to camp out without crippling yourself...
