The Main Square Festival, is not one of the bigger names on the summer European festival circuit, but the event has been quietly going about it s business for quite a few years now, having started out back in 2004 in the small town of Arras in France which is still its home. Venues in this time have switched between the Grand Place in Arras and La Citadelle Arras, where it has it's current home.

Main Square attracts crowds of over 100,000 over the full 3 days it takes place and always has a strong lineup to justify the attendance. It is also another of those festivals where camping is part of the experience and there is a lively campground situated close to the festival site.

Dates

The Main Square festival will be held on 30th June - 2 July 2023.

Festival lineup

The 2023 lineup includes:

Friday 30th June: Maroon 4, Kungs, Alvin Chris, Anna Calvi, Calum Scott, City and Colour, Damso, Grand Cru, Izia, Ravage Club, Tiakola, YMNK

Saturday 1st July: Nova Twins, Orange Dream, Lost Frequencies, Konga, Hot Milk, Hamza, Dear Deer, Feu Mineral, Cloud, Aya Nakamura, Apashe, Orelsan, Royal Republic, The Rose, Vitalic Live

Sunday 2nd July: David Guetta, BBNO$, Fever 333, Macklemore, Gang Clouds, Joe Dwet File, John Butler, June Bug, Ko Ko Mo, Lydsten, Queen (Ares), Sir Chloe, Spoon, Suzane

Tickets

Tickets are available either for a single day or you can buy a 3 day pass. There is an extra charge for camping, but this is a very reasonably priced option. You can buy tickets online here.

Festival Accommodation

Camping is the preferred accommodation of choice for many visitors to Main Sqaure, and the weather in this part of France in early July generally makes for a pleasant experience. Please note though that the campground is actually located a short distance from the festival site itself, although a free shuttle service is provided. If you prefer the comfort of a hotel then there is plenty in the area to choose form as well.
