The Movement Festival in Detroit actually started life as the Detroit Electronic Music Festival back in 2000, subsequently undergoing a series of identity changes in conjunction with several management changes before settling on the current title of just Movement in 2006.
 
The current event is now one of the biggest electronic music festivals anywhere in the world, held at Hart Plaza, offering 3 full days of live acts across 6 different stages. Attendance has risen over the last 10 years, with total visitor numbers at the most recent events standing at well over 100,000.

Dates

The Movement festival is normally on Memorial Day weekend which this year will be 27th - 29th May.

Every year Movement announces an incredible line up of artists and this year is no exception and includes: Basement Jaxx, Skrillex, TSHA, Zeds Dead, 2 Lanes, AMX, Ash Lauryn, Beatnok, Bonobo, Charlotte De Witte, DJ Nobu, Fisher, Heidi, Ida Engberg, Luke Hess, Mathew Jonson, Sam Divine, Sheefy McFly, Three 6 Mafia and many more!
