Sonic Temple Festival

Rock on the Range, also known more colloquially as ROTR, is another hugely popular North American rock music festival, taking place annually in Columbus, Ohio in May each year since 2007, making it one of the more established events on the US festival circuit.

There was also between 2009 and 2011 a version of Rock on the Range held in Winnipeg, Canada, but this didn't attract the same level of popularity so didn't last beyond the 3 years.

The festival started as a single day event but has expanded exponentially over the years and now covers a full 3 day weekend with a total of 120,000 tickets sold out well in advance, making this one of the biggest rock concerts anywhere in the world.

Festival Accommodation

There isn't an official campground for the Rock on the Range festival, so most people visiting from outside the area head to the local hotels and guest houses, of which there are plenty to choose from.
