New York St Patrick's Day Parade
Mardi Gras at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is about much more than a single parade on Fat Tuesday (although that does of course take place!). There are in fact a series of parades and special live music concerts that take place for several weeks before and after mardi gras itself, giving larger numbers of people the chance to experience mardi gras in this fantastic venue.
Many visitors choose to maximise the entertainment by heading on to Universal CityWalk after the parades and concerts have finished, and there is of course a huge range of dining options to help fill in your evening schedule.
Held on select nights from 3rd Feburary to 7th April with fantastic Mardi Gras parade floats, Musicians, entertainers and dancers will also be performing in the streets of the park to help create that fantastic celebration atmosphere.
The concerts taking place at Universal Orlando this mardi gras season take place during the mardi gras period, and there are usually some big names in attendance.
There is also live music throughout mardi gras by the French Quarter Bands, with a typically New Orleans style jazz and blues theme.
There isn't any live TV coverage that we're aware of, although there is a good chance the major news networks will have featured segments from the Orlando parades during mardi gras season.
The best alternative option we can find is the Universal Orlando webcam page, which has a few live streams to choose from:
You can see our full range of live coverage of mardi gras and carnival events around the world, including the main parades in New Orleans, Rio and Trinidad here: Watch Mardi Gras live
The hotels at Universal Studios are popular all year round, but there are plenty of options in the wider Orlando area where you can usually stretch your budget quite a bit further. There will typically be some decent mardi gras hotel packages on offer too.
You can check out availability and make reservations for all of the best local hotels here.
