Royal Ascot 2023

Royal Ascot horse racing

Royal Ascot at the famous Ascot racecourse in Berkshire is an iconic fixture on the UK horse racing calendar.

Another racing festival in the UK, the nation that just can't seem to get enough of "The Sport of Kings". This one does actually come complete with royal affiliation though, with the event not only carrying the title of Royal Ascot, but also being attended each day by the Queen, of course this year it will be the King, and/or members of the royal family each day, who enter the arena in a daily royal procession, complete with golden horse-drawn carriages and the like - a throwback to the days of pomp and ceremony that appeals greatly to the landed classes who tend to frequent these events.

This race meeting has been taking place since way back in 1711 though, and the modern version attracts crowds of over 300,000 over the course of the week, so there's obviously enough still to appeal to a lot of people out there.

Royal Ascot in 2023 is scheduled to run from 20th to 24th June.

TV & Live Streaming

Until recently, the racing at Royal Ascot was the exclusive preserve of the BBC, but in 2012 the rights were taken over by Channel 4, who were able to capitalise on their advertising revenue to outbid the national broadcaster, then ITV took over in 2021 and it looks like they remain for 2023.

You can watch ITV online here: Royal Ascot on ITV

Several of the main betting sites will also carry live streaming of the event, although you will need to have an active account to watch. Bet 365 is one of the most popular options:

Bet 365 Royal Ascot

Paddy Power also had a live showing last year, so hopefully that will return here: Paddy Power Royal Ascot

Note: This is not an affiliate link, I have no connection with any betting sites.
