IRONMAN Cairns 2023

The IRONMAN in Cairns this year is designated as the Asia-Pacific Championship. The race has slots designated for the VinFast Iron Man World Championship in Nice, France for the men and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for women.

Cairns Ironman is renowned as the "Race in Paradise" with its spectacular landscape and of course the atmosphere that comes with such an epic sporting event.

Date

The date for the race is Sunday 18th June 2023.

Course and Schedule

This is one of the most spectacular courses on the world IRONMAN calendar, taking place in the tropical settings of the North Queensland rainforest region.

The different course phases are as follows:

Swim

2 laps of Palm Cove, starting from the beach

Cycle

3 laps on a circuit from Palm Cove beach, along Cedar Road to the Captain Cook Highway to Port Douglas then back again.

Run

4 laps on a course around the Esplanade Lagoon, Cairns Esplanade, Airport Avenue, Ports North Marina and Hemmingway's Brewery.
