Another epic Ironman to put in the diary! The Couer D'Alene Ironman has in recent years been downgraded to a 70.3 event.

The picturesque Idaho town of Coeur D'Alene is the scene for another of the US branches of the Ironman triathlon circuit, always one of the more popular stops in the tournament, with the convenient geographical location for US based athletes and generally friendly weather conditions adding to the appeal of the event.

This triathlon location is also particularly noted for both the size and enthusiasm of the local crowds, who line the route in large numbers on the run course in particular to lend their support to the participants, many of who have commented in the past that the additional adrenaline rush provided by the cheering supporters has helped push them on to that small extra effort that can make all the difference in this competition.

The CDA Ironman 70.3 in 2023 takes place on Sunday 25th June.

The course at Coeur D'Alene is one of the most popular among the professional Ironman triathletes, thanks to the top notch local scenery, and, probably more importantly, the temperate weather conditions.

The course proceeds as follows:

1.2 mile loop in Lake Coeur D'Alene.

Finish at City Park transition area

Run:

13.1 miles of another loop course. Covering:

Northwest Boulevard

Pine Avenue

Mountain Avenue

Lost Avenue

Young Avenue

Mullan Avenue

Ashton Road

Sherman Avenue

Finish line between 2nd and 1st streets.
