IRONMAN Tallinn 2023

The IRONMAN triathlon event in Tallinn, Estonia is one of the newer additions to the sport's calendar, having only started taking place over the full triathlon distance in 2018, but given the scenic location and ideal weather conditions typical at the time of year of the race it's sure to become a frim favourite moving forwards. The event also offers qualifying spots for VinFast Ironman World Championships.

It's also a city we've long wanted to visit, so a trip to coincide with the IRONMAN event could well be on the cards in the next couple of years.

Date

The triathlon takes place on 5th August 2023.

Course and Schedule

The Tallinn course is as follows:

Swim

Takes place in the Lake of Harku, in one single lap. Water temerature is typically a relatively brisk 18-20 degrees celsius.

Cycle

The cyle course starts on the banks of Lake Harku, immediately emerging from the swim. It constitutes 2 laps of the southern cities and villages, ending at Seaplace Harbour.

Run

The run is a relatively flat course of 4 laps travelling from Seaplane Harbour back to the city's picturesque Old Town.
